Below is a suggested letter template to send all member’s at your club when introducing the Cap Patrol system.
This template is available to be emailed through Cap Patrol using the Custom Communications tool. All bracketed fields will accurately populate when sending through Cap Patrol

The primary duty of the Handicap Committee is to "enhance the enjoyment of the game of golf and to allow as many players as possible to compete or play a casual round with anyone else on a fair and equal basis". In fulfillment of those responsibilities, [[CLUB]] has partnered with Cap Patrol to assist with member communications related to handicap management and peer review.
Cap Patrol has become the standard tool across the industry to aid Handicap Committees in managing this often-challenging responsibility.
The Cap Patrol system uses a proprietary algorithm that takes into consideration of many factors, including:
- A player's potential or ability in recent play and tournament rounds
- Variance in home vs away performance
- The disparity in casual vs competitive scores reported
- Placement in club-sponsored tournaments/events
Cap Patrol works with hundreds of clubs, monitoring hundreds of thousands of golfers spanning millions of rounds, and utilizes this intelligence to promote integrity. Cap Patrol provides our staff and Handicap Committee with objective data to manage an issue that can affect the culture of a club left unaddressed.
As part of our partnership with Cap Patrol, we will reconcile tee time data with score posting information and deploy emails for Reminder to Post and Peer Review. The Reminder to Post will be sent {interval} days after the play date, with Peer Reviews to be sent the day after the Reminder to Post. These auto-communication features are being deployed to further our efforts to maintain the equity and fairness of play for all participants.
The World Handicap System recommends the practice of peer review as a means of promoting fair and honest play. [[CLUB]] will implement Peer Review on a select basis and will involve an email being sent to you to share the posting results of fellow members of your playing group.
Cap Patrol has also harnessed a wealth of data to create a fun and exciting FREE APP for all members. The app is customized for [[CLUB]]. You can download the Cap Patrol App by searching for "Cap Patrol" in the App Store on your device. You will need your GHIN number and a valid email address to log in.
