Creating a New Event/Tournament
To add an Event (Tournament) to your records:
- Select Events & Results in the left side menu
- Click the + button in the upper right hand corner of the Screen
Complete the following required fields:
- Event Name
- Gender
- Gross/Net
- Planned Month
- Click CREATE to Save
The new Event/Tournament is now created and will appear in your Events & Results list
Setting Up Flighted Events
Flighted Events are setup and recorded in two different formats, depending on if the flight winners compete for an overall champion or not.
Events will be set up and results will be inputted differently depending on which of the two formats your flighted event follows
- Flight winners compete in a playoff format for an overall campion
- Winning a flight the highest level of achievement for this event
Flighted Events with a Playoff or Overall Champion
Events where the winner of each flight come together to compete for a one overall winner only require the setup of one singular event
To set up a flighted event with a playoff or overall winner:
Complete the steps above in “Creating a New Event/ Tournament” as usual
Flighted Events with No Playoff or Overall Champion
If your Event has flights, but winning the flight is the highest achievement and there is No Playoff or Overall Champion then each Flight will be a separate event in the Cap Patrol System. This is because each flight is in essence its own Event with it’s own set of placings
To set up a flighted event with no playoff or overall champion:
Complete the steps above in “Creating a New Event/ Tournament” for each flight
Be sure to add the Flight Name in the title or in the description field
NOTE: If an event has 3 flights you should have 3 separate events created. See screenshot below
